Zeder Cheder – Setting the Table Together
This year, Jewish Veg and Jewish Initiative for Animals (JIFA) present Zeder Cheder- Setting the Table Together.
This is an online community learning forum for the season of liberation. Prior to Passover, we’ll join together to study text, learn about plant-based holiday traditions (old and new), and get a sneak preview of JIFA’s newly developed Passover recipes for communal settings.
Event Speakers & Schedule:
• Rabbi Jonathan Bernhard: A Shankbone and Egg, Really!?
• Dr. Adrienne Krone, Ph.D.: “For you were strangers in the land of Egypt”- Jewish Perspectives on Immigration, Labor, and Factory Farming
• Chef Mark Reinfeld: A 2 recipe demonstration for a plant-based Pesach
This fully virtual event will be hosted on Zoom and is free to join.
If you can’t join us live, the Zeder will be recorded and emailed to everyone who RSVPs for your convenience.
A donation of $18 is suggested and welcome.
Donations can be made here.
All donations will go towards compensating our event speakers and supporting the work of Jewish Veg and JIFA.
