Young Adult Shabbat dinners with Jewish Veg and OneTable

Become a OneTable Host + Vegan Shabbat + Welcome to Better Fridays

Jewish Veg is partnering with OneTable to help you host a vegan Shabbat dinner. If you’re in your 20’s or 30’s, we invite you to create a Shabbat gathering this year on the following dates. All of these dates contain Torah portions that have to do with plant-based eating or animals. Jewish Veg will provide you with talking points for your event.

OneTable empowers young adults (21-39ish) to find, host, and share Shabbat dinners to make the most of their Friday night and enjoy the best of life together.

When you become a host through OneTable, you’ll get ideas + support to make it magical! Check out the OneTable recipes, dinner guides, playlists, and get all the inspiration you need to plan a dinner. If you become a OneTable host, you’ll receive $10 per person (up to $300) per dinner to use towards cookbooks, restaurants, or grocery stores from OneTable. Don’t forget, Jewish Veg also has a great Recipes section you can use for inspiration for your dinner!

Here are the dates for this year (pick one or more that work for you!):

Jun. 9, 2023 | Parshat Beha’alotcha: Numbers 8:1 – 12:16 | The plague of craving meat

Aug. 4, 2023 | Parshat Eikev: Deuteronomy 7:12 – 11:25 | The seven species

Oct. 13, 2023 | Parshat Bereishit: Genesis 1:1 – 6:8 | The vegan ideal

We’re very excited about supporting you in growing your Jewish ethical eating community. Visit onetable.org and become a host (and please note that it takes a little over a week to get approved so don’t delay).

Become a Host Today

Once you sign up through OneTable and become a host for one of those pivotal dates, reach out to Lisa at Jewish Veg to get talking points for that Torah portion and to get support and guidance from us too.

P.S. Use #vegan in your Shabbat dinner listing so other vegans can find your dinner!
